AN ARTHOUSE DOCUMENTARY FILM
‘Trails’ is an immersive cinematic journey that highlights Lebanese art through poetized portraits of some of its visionary artists. An awe-inspiring story, Trails reconciles the common loss of identity faced in Lebanon with its viewers and reclaims it through artistic expression.
FEATURING
SYNOPSIS:
Trails is an artistic, cinematic documentary formed by a collaboration of recognized artists, researchers and institutions in Lebanon with a profound knowledge of Traditional, Modern, and Contemporary art. Screened in French and colloquial Arabic, Trails invites the audience to immerse themselves within the different mediums, styles and interpretations of art. It also delves into the philosophical implications of the artists’ lives so the audience can learn their personality, creative process and unique techniques used to create their masterpieces. The story forges a very real connection between the importance of choosing art as a medium to brave out universal revelations and the personal rooted identity found in art as a way of life, all while discussing the struggles and outcomes in relation to the modern world. Trails is a film that posits newly profound ideas on the importance of the role of artists, and worldwide nationalities, to decide the future of Lebanon. By helping shape the course of our history, we are able to appreciate and preserve our natural world and its beauty.
